This beautiful mural shows Kirkcaldy's famous son, Adam Smith as a young boy. He is looking out to the River Forth where the sight of ships arriving from across the world to trade in the town inspired his famous work, The Wealth of Nations. the mural was created by local artist Kerry Wilson (who also painted the Cowdenbeath murals).
The mural is on the gable end of a building at the east end of the High Street, close to the Kirkcaldy Love Heart and Sir Sandford Fleming Memorial Sundial.
